Save fuel and cash

Efficiency Mode for less fuel consumption

Eco Tuning saves fuel for cars and transporterEco Tuning saves fuel for cars and transporter
With the chip tuning PowerControl, fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 15% with an adapted driving style. With a reduction in consumption of 2 liters per 100 km, it is already possible to save €384 per 10,000 km* at a current fuel price of €1.924. Test it now 60 days instead of 30 days with the code SAVEFUEL.

Up to 15 % less consumption

The lower consumption is achieved through the "Efficiency" eco-driving program, which optimizes the most important engine parameters in terms of consumption and optimally matches them to one another. The main savings potential lies in the optimized torque.
This is because full power is available even at low engine speeds. This means that you can change gears earlier and save fuel and money by driving in low gear. You can calculate your personal savings potential here.

Save more fuel and gain more power?

Save 15 % fuel with perfromance chip PowerControlSave 15 % fuel with perfromance chip PowerControl

"Our performance upgrade allows for power gains of 30%, or fuel savings of up to 15%."

But that doesn't mean you'll have less power overall by saving more. As explained earlier, eco tuning optimizes all relevant parameters for the fuel-air mixture to allow for more effective combustion. As a result, the performance of your vehicle remains the same and, depending on the vehicle, can even improve in Efficiency mode.

This saves you fuel and money without limiting your driving pleasure. At the same time, even more power and driving pleasure is available to you at any time by simply switching to Dynamic or Sport modes.

Drive fully loaded and efficiently

Under full load, for frequent trips or long distances: consume less fuel with PowerControl and save as a company, too.

Eco-tuning determines the individual load profile for heavy-duty vehicles, optimizes the injection cycle to achieve more efficient efficiency. As a result, you consume less fuel and get a longer range. Vans and trucks achieve a direct economic competitive advantage, especially under full load. There is a further advantage for travelers, commuters and service providers: on long-distance journeys for highway and country roads, with an adapted driving style, correspondingly less fuel needs to be refueled to arrive at the destination. But even short trips pay off thanks to the savings potential, such as delivery services and passenger transportation.

Efficiency pays off. Thanks to PowerControl, you cover more kilometers on one tank of gas.

Save fuel with PedalBox Pro

PedalBox Pro in Eco modePedalBox Pro in Eco mode

The new PedalBox Pro offers further savings potential. The original throttle response controller from DTE is equipped with an exclusive driving program that is programmed for economical consumption.

In the new Eco Mode, the PedalBox Pro saves fuel on every journey. The savings potential here lies in the reduced throttle response. The response of the throttle pedal is optimized in such a way that aggressive and sporty acceleration processes are limited.

More tips on how to best save fuel

Avoid short trips

Less short trips to save fuelLess short trips to save fuel

Nothing hurts the car more than short trips. To achieve optimum fuel consumption, the car must have driven a longer distance to warm up. This is because cold engines require a lot of fuel and emit more pollutants. Diesel engines in particular need more time to warm up than gasoline engines. It is best not to make short trips by car at all, but by bicycle, public transport or on foot. Alternatively, you can combine several individual trips, so the engine stays warm during intermediate stops and fuel consumption is low.

Shift up the gears

Upshift to a higher speed to save fuelUpshift to a higher speed to save fuel

As already mentioned, it is best not to drive at maximum speeds. Nevertheless, you should get up to high speeds as quickly as possible. Driving briskly to reach the desired speed allows you to upshift earlier and thus drive at low speeds. And that in turn saves fuel, because consumption is lowest in the low speed range and is therefore environmentally friendly.
If you want to save a particularly large amount of fuel, you can "roll up" in first gear. The highest consumption occurs when starting off. After two to three meters of coasting, you can shift to second gear.

Pay attention to the weight of your vehicle

Less weight for your vehcile to save fuelLess weight for your vehcile to save fuel
The weight of your car and fuel consumption are directly related. Even an additional 100 kg of load increases consumption by 0.3 to 0.5 l per 100 kilometers. The weight is particularly noticeable when driving uphill and in the city. Under full load, the vehicle needs more power and torque to move forward. If you often drive with a lot of weight, a performance chip can help you save fuel.

Take care of your tires

Pay attention to your tires to save fuelPay attention to your tires to save fuel
The better the tire pressure, the safer and more fuel-efficient you are on the road. Even a 0.5 bar lower tire pressure increases fuel consumption by 5%. In addition to the air pressure, tire material, tire width and tread condition are also decisive for fuel savings. The better the rolling resistance is adapted to the road surface and season, the less energy is required for the tire to rotate. Less energy means less fuel consumption.
